Sam Sheps is a Professor in the Department of Health Care and Epidemiology at the University of BC and the Director of the Western Regional Training Centre for Health Services Research (WRTC). Dr Sheps has professional Training and Certification in both Pediatrics and Epidemiology. His areas of specialty include: clinical epidemiology as a basic and applied science in medical research and decision-making, organization and delivery of child health services, health policy research - particularly utilization management and procedure variation and appropriateness of health care utilization.
