Introduction to Health Economics: A One-Day Workshop

Hosted by CYHRNet, this workshop strengthened the link between researchers and end-users of research as it taught both groups complementary skills. Researchers learned how to better address economics in tandem with important clinical issues in their work. Similarly, decision-makers learned how to critically appraise economic evaluations of new interventions. Through the sharing of case studies in child and youth health, both parties were able to gain a new appreciation of the ways through which health economics can impact and direct how research is conducted and applied.
