CYHRNet Student Internships
Awarded Annually (Not available in 2010)
CYHRNet annually awards a number of Student Internships, valued at $3500 each, to support student participation in interdisciplinary child and youth health research teams.

Travel Grants
Ongoing (Not available in 2010)
To ensure all CYHRNet members have a chance to participate in important knowledge exchange and networking events, the network awards a limited number of travel grants to members requiring financial assistance to attend a CYHRNet-sponsored event. Grants of up to $500 (up to $800 for members from rural areas) are available. We are unable to provide funding for other opportunities. Please see the events page for current travel grant opportunities.
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship
Awarded annually; Deadline July 29
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Postdoctoral Fellowship is designed to attract qualified, promising scientists entering their professional career in the diabetes research field. The applicant is required to work with a sponsor who can provide a training environment conducive to beginning a career in type 1 diabetes-relevant research. Awards are for up to two years with up to $52,960 US per year.
JDRF Advanced Postdoctoral Fellowship
Awarded annually; Deadline July 29
The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Advanced Postdoctoral Fellowship is designed to attract qualified and promising health scientists, to provide an opportunity to receive full-time research training and to assist these promising individuals in transitioning from a fellowship to an independent faculty-level position. Awards are made up to a duration of three years with up to $90,000 US per year.
Canadian Cancer Society Research Institute Student Travel Award
Awarded three times annually; Deadlines Sept. 1, Dec. 1 & April 1
A limited number of Travel Awards, valued at up to $1,500 each, are available to senior level PhD or MD/PhD students from the Canadian Cancer Society Research Institute. These awards are intended to defray travel costs associated with making a scientific and cancer-related presentation at a conference, symposium or other appropriate professional gathering.
